Germaine's Luau
The spirit of Aloha is alive and thriving at Germaine’s Luau, Oahu’s best and most famous Hawaiian luau. From the moment you are picked up at your Honolulu – Waikiki hotel your guide will make you feel like part of the ohana (family). The bus will take you to the private Germaine’s Luau beach near Barber’s Point Lighthouse for an evening of great fun, tasty food, and live Polynesian entertainment.
Please indicate if you need pickup from your hotel. You must add this to the checkout portion of
the order to receive pickup. Germaine’s Luau transportation is free, but you
must put in the number of people who need the free transportation in order to
be picked up.
When you arrive at Germaine’s Luau, you will be presented with a shell lei greeting. A photographer will take a photo of you and your group with the breathtaking beach and Pacific at your backs before you enter the luau and take your place at a table. Germaine’s Luau wonderful staff will welcome and entertain you as you get a drink and find your seats. You’ll be ready to party Hawaiian style in no time!
Everyone is family at Germaines Luau, and next we’ll proceed to the Imu ceremony. The crew started cooking the Kailua Pig at 5 am in the morning, and during the Imu ceremony, we’ll gather the family together as we remove the pig, seasoned with sea salt collected from Germaine’s private beach, from its lava rock earthen oven as the sun sets over the Pacific.
After the Imu ceremony, the ohana will return to their seats to await the feast. Keiki (children) always go through the Hawaiian buffet first, but before long everyone is feasting on Poi, Lomi Lomi Salmon, pineapple coleslaw, rice, fried chicken, mahi mahi, pipi (beef), Kailua pig, long rice with chicken, rolls, and dessert. No one leaves Germaine’s Luau in Oahu hungry – there is plenty of food for seconds after everyone has some. Each guest is allowed three specialty drinks from Germaine’s Luau bar. You will also enjoy bottomless complementary soft drinks. A few lucky guests will win door prizes in a raffle-style drawing. While you are feasting, Germaine’s Luau kicks into high gear as the entertainment begins.
The Germaine’s Luan entertainment is inspired by Polynesian culture taken from ancient Hawaiians, Samoa, Tahiti, and New Zealand Maori peoples. The costumes the dancers wear are exquisitely detailed and very beautiful. Live music during the show is the epitome of everything Hawaiian. You’ll be mesmerized by the rhythmic motions of the beautiful hula dancers as the evening progresses. Germaine’s gives you plenty of opportunity to participate, inviting anyone who wants to come to join the cast onstage to learn to hula dance. You’ll be awestruck at the energetic dances representing different facets of Polynesian culture, culminating in the stunning display of the Maori fire knife dance. As Germaine’s Hawaiian Luau celebration draws to a close under a starlit sky, we all sing together, bidding farewell to new friends.
As you board your bus back to your hotel, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase the photos taken earlier in the evening. 15 Hawaiian minutes later, you’ll be back at your hotel, reminiscing on what an entertaining, magical, and satisfying evening is has been.
